You will not face a problem on finding a flat to live in in the cities in Southern Denmark, if you are looking for a price around the average cost of a rental. In case you already have a contract with a company before moving, you could ask the company to help you out. Another typical approach is to ask friends of friends on facebook for help to find a room or apartment. To be socially connected with other expats outside your company, you should consider a large city.

Rental price level

International choice


You could look into Odense, if you want to be in a larger city with a lot of internationals. Odense C (center) has more life, while Odense M (Middle) is more quiet, but still very close to the center of the city. Of the different neighborhoods that are attractive with fashionable pricy houses are Dalum, Hunderup and Fruens Bøge. The Skibhus-neighborhood is known to be cozy. Do avoid Voldsmose, and if you are looking for a cheap solution try research the Bolbro area.

Local choices


Another interesting city is Vejle, which is quite centrally located in the whole region with international companies close by. This city has very beautiful nature in terms of the Fjord and a forest - and quite expensive houses in the Bredballe area, which lies on the south brink of the Fjord and Munkebjerg area north of the Fjord is more fair priced. The region also offers other options such as the small cities like Sønderborg, Esbjerg, Kolding and Brande.
