Aalborg is the main city in the region with 280 000 jobs and 200 000 people living in Aalborg. The region suffers in general from unemployment and also has a need of specialists. There is a demand for specialists within the hospital sector, metal industry, and related craftsman industries, and also within sustainable energy. The smaller cities in the region are in heavy demand of nurses and engineers. Aalborg has a huge university which also is employing a lot of people.

The industries look for specialists within

●   Metal works
●   Construction and buildings
●   Environment, energy and marine craftsmanship
●   Hospital sector
●   IT-consultancy
●   Engineers with knowledge of heating system

The lack of specialists in the area makes the North Jutland Region a great place to learn and apply your skills. In case the companies are open to English as a language, you will find many job opportunities.

There are more niche jobs, which are not in these sectors or occupations, and they are soon coming here on Eurocareer, so look out for interesting job-ads and international minded companies. But do note that in the biggest companies often look for heavy expertise, while if you are less experienced you could as well look for medium sized companies to have a better chance of getting a job. In general make sure to have a contract before you travel to Denmark.
